How we use cookies.
Plain English, and short — because there isn't much to say.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work at all; others are optional and only help us understand how the site is used.
Cookies we set
| Type | Why | Set without asking? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Signing you in, keeping your session, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. The site cannot work without these. | Yes — they carry no tracking and are required for the service you asked for. |
| Preference | Remembering your cookie choice so we stop asking. | Yes — set only once you make a choice, and only to record that choice. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, to see which pages are used and where people get stuck. | No. Nothing analytics-related loads until you accept. |
If you decline
No analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. The site works exactly the same. We remember that you declined so the banner does not reappear.
Changing your mind
Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. The banner appears again and you can choose differently. Clearing this site's data in your browser does the same.
Third parties
Analytics is provided by Google. We do not sell or share the data collected through this site with advertisers.
