Projects, task lists and stages
Create a project, add members, organise tasks into lists and set the stages of your board.

Create a project
- Open Projects in the sidebar and select Create Project. Owners, admins and members can create projects unless the role has been changed.
- Enter a Project Title. Description, category, status, colour, dates and a project manager are optional. You can also start from a template.
- On the Project Members tab, add people and give each one a project role: Manager, Member or Viewer.
- Select Create Project.
Project managers approve time and subtask requests for their projects. You can add people later from the project's Overview tab with Assign member.
Task lists
Tasks live in lists (shown as Todolists). On a project's Tasks tab, select + next to Todolists to create one. A list can have its own workflow, subscribers and time tracking. Drag lists to reorder them; use the ⋮ menu to edit, copy, move or delete one.
Stages on the board
The columns of a board come from a workflow. Owners and admins manage them in Settings → Project settings → Workflows:
- Select Create Workflow and give it a name. It starts with To Do, In Progress and Done.
- Edit it to add, rename, colour or reorder stages, and tick Done on the stages that finish a task.
- Optionally set who may move a task to Done, and what the task must have first (for example an assignee, a due date or all sub-tasks done).
- Open a list's settings and choose the workflow under Associate workflow.
Archive a project
On the project's Overview tab, select Archive Project. Archived projects are hidden from the list but kept; tick Show archived on the Projects page to find them and Restore Project to bring one back.
