Switch on two-step sign-in
- Open Settings → Security and select Set up two-step sign-in.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone (for example Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator), or type in the key shown.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and select Switch on.
- Save the 10 recovery codes somewhere safe. Each works once if you lose your phone. They are not shown again.
From then on, TaskSync asks for a code from the app after your password. After 5 wrong codes you have to wait 15 minutes.
Require it for your company
Owners and admins can select Require it under Company requirement on the same page (switch it on for yourself first). Anyone without it is then asked to set it up before they can continue.
Passwords
Passwords must be at least 12 characters and not a common password. We store them only as one-way hashes. When you change yours, we email you to confirm.
Devices
Under Where you are signed in you can see your devices and select Sign out of other devices.
